You should analyze the rent versus the expenses
Before you even consider renting out your house, you should calculate if it would be financially feasible. To do this, you should research how much rent you could charge for your house and subtract off the expenses you will have. You will still have to pay your mortgage payment, taxes, and insurance on the house, and you would still be responsible for repairs and maintenance. If you can collect enough rent to cover these things, it could be a good financial decision.
You could try to sell it at a later point when the market conditions change
You should also realize that there might be reasons out of your control that you cannot find a buyer right now. For example, there might not be a lot of people buying houses right now. If this is the case, you might have a lot of trouble finding a buyer.
If you wait to try to sell it until a point when houses are selling, you might have better luck. Because of this, you could rent the house out for a year and then maybe try to sell it when the market conditions change.

If the tenant will not keep the house clean or not leave before showings, you could experience problems selling the house while having a tenant living there.
